Just a heads up for the programe Imagine, which tonight features the late Harry Nilsson!

Very sad that Nilsson's greatest work was Badfinger's greatest loss - shame people don't know the real tragedy behind it.

The story of Badfinger is indeed a tragic one. The book 'Without you, the tragic story of Badfinger' is supposed to be excellent, but at 60-70quid upwards for a secondhand copy, one i won't be buying all that soon.


The lyrics are loosely based on a converstation between Pete Ham and his girlfriend as he went off to work on a tune with Tom Evans one evening which became 'without you'

Great tune, and, great band. Nilssons version is good, but Badfingers is the best.

I watched this on I-player, a very sad story indeed. Bit of a tear jerker to be honest.

The Bad Finger story is very sad too, unbelievable that one band could have so much promise and yet have much more bad luck.
