AC/DC album choices

Went on to itunes yesterday in the hope I can correct the issue of not having any AC/DC tracks in my library and found out they are not on there.

Can you post your top 3 AC/DC albums, I'd like to get 3 or 4 for a start. I'm assuming Back In Black is a default for anyone's top 3?

I don't particularly like Highway to Hell, despite thinking the Bon Scott stuff is far superior. I'd say

1. Let there be Rock
2. High Voltage (UK version)
3. Dirty Deeds...

What I admire more than anything else with the Bon Scott stuff is the sheer speed they pumped consistently good albums out. It's something like six great albums in five years.

And Im not a fan of live albums usually, but AC/DC Live (at Donnington) is very good too. The cannons on For Those About to Rock are awesome.

True, but many of those tracks would have been written and honed in relentless touring of clubs. I agree though, barely a dud on all those albums. I always skip "The Jack" though.

Although, as per Alan Partridge with The Beatles, a 'Best Of' album is rarely if ever the correct answer, the Ironman 2 soundtrack is all AC/DC and is a fantastic introduction to them IMO...

Will get back to the others mentioned after I've consumed these. Can't wait to get them on to my ipod for the commute I fear my mpg may take a dive!!

Back to 1st post I noticed that you couldn't download any as MP3s from Amazon recently; AC/DC obviously don't approve.

No something about albums being an anthology meant to be enjoyed as one rather than picking single tracks.

I kind of understand and if your successful enough without having to sell out what you believe to be your art then why not? But it still won't stop me or anyone else for that matter listening to tracks in isolation.

For the reason posted by OneDs. ACDC refuse to do so until the vendors allow the sale of an album in entirety.

'Back In Black' is a damn good comeback album. But for me no voice can replace Bon Scott's despite the replacement being about as close as you could ever possibly hope for!

Very biased towards the Bon years, powerage is my all time fave. High voltage and highway also excellent. I did like both back in black and for those about to rock of the Johno years, black ice is a return to form for them too.
