...as a venue? trying to see a band locally, all sold out, nearest is Edinburgh, but it looks a bit "multi functional". The Newcastle Arena near us is a pain in the arse with bad acoustics and you can only see the performers from the waist up if you are standing (don't watch Riverdance there). I swore I wouldn't waste money again unless a band was playing somewhere "proper". So what's it like then?

Not brilliant. Big rectangular room, acoustics a bit st. Depends how much you want to see said bad really.
Having said that, I was at the front for the Happy Mondays. Other mates have been for Prodigy and Faithless and had an awesome time.

From the few pics on their site it looks a bit pants, like a big wedding venue (with the stage the top table). Only tickets left at local (good) venue are resellers at 100% markup.....might just bite the bullet! Cheers for the reply.

who is it? It's not a bad venue, saw Placebo there a few years ago and they were fantastic, but visibility was very poor, sound was much better than other nights of the tour though.
