Effects pedals - safe second hand option?

I'm assuming its as risky as buying anything second hand but they cost a fortune to fix if they're not right generally but the one I want is £135 new....

I'm after a Boss DD-7 btw...

I just feel esp wary of buying second hand effects pedals

BOSS pedals are bomb-proof. I have ones going back to the early 80's which still work fine. Here's the pedal you're after. Three hours left; happy bidding!

Or you COULD save up for the Boss DD-20. I don't know if it has 40 second playback though.

Usually fine - as is said above Boss pedals are awesomely well built.

I'm looking at the Boss ME-25 (DELAY: 1-99ms, 100-990ms, 1000-6000ms) at the mo.
A bit gimmicky perhaps but they're only £70-90 from ebay.

Its delay isn't far short of the DD7 plus you get oodles of other stuff too.

I bought all my Boss pedals secondhand and they're fine. Never missed a beat and probably never will!
