Just stumbled accross a new song on I tunes and it's truly amazing, I'm hooked and it's on repeat!

Now I can't find it on YouTube or anything but you can sample it on iTunes.

It's the band "black diamond bay" song is " I dreamt we were bank robbers" but here is the important bit, it's the "planas remix"

Id suggest listening to it though a decent set of jeadphones or speakers as its the bass that makes It for me!

It's like a really chilled out slowed down version of dubstep, would love to find more but wouldn't know where to start!

Thanks all

Sounds like a clicky mid-fi variation of post-Italian speed-core to me.

Nah, sarcasm has more guitars.

Not that I have access you this tune but if it's dubstep-esque then it may either be bass (yes, that's a genre) or post-dubstep. Or dark-step. To be honest i'm struggling to keep up with all the new genres people keep inventing...

Not sure if that fits into a genre. Seems to be just a song which has taken lots of bits from other genres.

I would call it post trip hop french electro rock

But seriously.. if you are looking for similar music have a listen to Air and Zero 7

It's a bit house, a bit electro indie and a bit dubstep. So whatever that's called these days.

No use asking me, I'm still trying to figure out what jeadphones are!

Planas (Toby Davies) describes himself as being "Down-tempo / Dub / Electronica" so I guess even he can't make his mind up smile

The track mentioned in the first post is here:

I've not listened to it all, but I'd go with Dubstep and Downtempo/Downbeat aswell, although like others I dont know all the new sub genres when it comes to electronic music.
