Joe Bonamassa

Hi, I went to see Joe at the Apollo last night and to say that I was blown away would be an understatement!

Without doubt one of the best performers that I've seen. I'm embarassed to admit that I'd never heard of him until recently!

I have seen Joe several times including 2 very special gigs, the first time i saw him was at a small local gig just as he was breaking the big time. He had offered to do the gig as a favour to the club owner as he had been given his first UK headline show there a few years earlier! All i can say is that he tore the place apart, was one of the best gigs to this day i have ever been to, at the time i had only heard a few of his tracks, i only went on the recommendation of my guitar teacher!!

The second of these was the now famous Royal Albert hall show!!! Get the DVD and see for your self on that one!!

Went on Friday and he really was great.

Despite having had flue in week he played & sang fantastically.

Was there last night as well and agree - he was awsome. I love the way he stayed on stage for the duration and didn't milk the applause - just got stuck into the next number after a quick guitar change. We were 4 rows back and even had a chat with Bernie on the way out. Definitely going to see BCC next time around.

Was @ Hammersmith on Friday. One word; awesome! Had a major lol at some of the faces around me when they turned the PA up to 11 and played Iron Maiden before Joe came on. Also, great drummer. Looks like Bill Bailey's younger brother

Got tickets to see him next year. I've only recently heard of him but we're making a boys weekend of it.

Looking forward to it and pleased to hear it's a good gig

I saw JB last time he was in Manchester.He opened with 'So Many Roads',my all time fav blues track.Brilliant night. *checks ticketmaster post haste*

No,he's not.His slow blues are quite nice but there's too much boppy/indifferent rock stuff in there.

I prefer the slow stuff so for me it's Bonamassa,SRV etc.

I watched a couple of his efforts on youtube, but I wouldn't agree that he's better than Joe B.

He's obviously very good though, so I guess it's just down to individual preference.
