Types of music you listened to in your teens
Discussion
I'm still in my teens.
But I enjoy The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Smiths, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Elvis, David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin, ELO, The Who, The Kinks, Queen, Oasis, The Doors, The Jam, The Cure, Dire Straits and The Clash to name a few.
Not forgetting the magic that is George Formby.

I guess:
Indie/Brit-rock - Ash, dodgy, longpigs, supernaturals etc
Moving into alternative rock - pumpkins, eels, mogwai, VAST and stuff
Moved into heavier rock - RFTC, Wildhearts, Therapy?, G'n'R, backyard babies, buckcherry
Got more into metal - White Zombie, Sepultura, Deftones, Biohazard
Then everything in between - punk, older classic rock, thrash, glam rock etc. Though nothing heavier than the stuff above.
Slowly grew out of rock a bit and got into hip hop and a bit of dancey stuff - massive attack, J5, roots, Junkie Xl, leftfield, blackalicious, etc
Still listen (10 years on) mostly to heavy/hard rock, Swedish rock and hip hop though with a few more mellow singer-songwriter and acoustic based artists thrown in. And a bit of blues and jazz, nice.

Early teens I was a narrow minded metal head only listening to bands like Slipknot, Iron Maiden, (early) Metallica, basically standard metal bands with the exception of listing to MJ, Fleetwood Mac and Blink 182. Now I'm almost 20 and listen to pretty much anything from hip hop to Motown to thrash metal apart from Punk and Dance music, I just can't stand it.
