Forever Free W.A.S.P.
Band called 'Kingdom Come'. When they came out (late '80's) they were supposed to be the new Led Zep. Can't say I found them remotely like them but the vocal are amazing.

your right - they are all a bit depressing, but sometimes im in the mood for that kind of music. Most of the time it's a bit more upbeat!

No suggestions I'm afraid as this isn't my sort of music, but Bother is a really really brilliant track. The guy has a great voice without needing to shout and scream like he chooses to.
