The Boys Are Back In Town- The Cardigans did a great cover. In fact, they covered anumber of metal tracks in their chilled out Swedish indie style (Sabbath Bloody Sabbath springs to mind too).

Look up "Nouvelle Vague". They only do covers, with 2 female vocalists, all the songs in a slower, mellower version of the originals.

A lot of what they cover is 80's new wave, but there are harder rock songs too.

Is this in the music section yet? wink

Sweet Child of Mine - Taken by Trees

Pete Townsend did a superb acoustic version of The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' for the Secret Policeman's Ball many years ago. It's on YouTube somewhere.

I love Machine Head, think they are fantastic, but woldn't say it's the lyrics that make them great, although Through the ashes of empires is fantastic.

Machine Head - Darkness Within Acoustic, acoustic version, it seems to have more passion to it than the normal version.

Korn have a whole MTV Unplugged album - they do Freak On A Leash with Amy Lee which is probably the highlight of it all.
