Florence and the Machine - - - WOW

Afternoon everyone

I don't normally post in the Music bit of the forum but....

I saw Florence and the Machine last night at the LG in Birmingham and what a concert! Im usually a heavy metal type bloke having seen ACDC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motorhead and Machine Head numerous times over the last few years but I have to say Florence and the Machine were brilliant last night.

Florence's voice is as good if not better live than on a CD and her band were flawless. I urge you all to go and see them if you have not already. Anyway i'm off to buy both albums!

I saw her in a sweaty little venue in Berlin early last year. I thought it was a good show but very short presumably as a result of lack of material back then.

I'm sure she's doing very well out of royalties from the BBC as her chords are (too) regularly played as backing tracks in programmes like Countryfile etc etc.

Her voice grates on me so much I can't listen to it I'm afraid, but you're not the first I've heard say that they are incredible live.
