Sorry to hijack your thread, but is anyone aware of any apps like Shazam which can tag songs that are non-commercial (in this instance not available to purchase alone)? Or is Shazam regarded as the best app for this purpose? (Yes, shazam was unable to recognize the song, probably for the above-mentioned reason).

I tried using Shazam to but it didn't recognise it. This music sounds really familiar to me but I've never played Zelda so wonder if it is something else.

ok, listening to that version I think you are right. Looking at the person playing the piano he looks the right kind of age to be interested in playing this music.

SoundHound didnt find it, but I like the app. They claim its better, faster etc than anything else out there. It seems to be highly award winning and very popular, so I'll be trying this out in future instead of shazam (which I dont use much) - cheers!
