My Gibson Les Paul Studio Gothic as been cased and stored under the bed in the guest room for the last 3 years (don't ask).

I've finally got it out and after replacing the rusty strings, I have discovered that the neck pickup no longer works and the bridge pickup volume control is very crackily.

I live in Surrey, not too far from Guildford. Can anyone recommend a good place to get this looked at?

I guess the obvious places are Guitar Village in Farnham and Andertons in Guildford....

Any suggestions/recommendations/experiences would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Or squirt some electrical contact cleaner in the pots? Servisol is the usual weapon of choice.

I highly recommend Feline Guitars in Croydon. Extremely high quality of work and reasonably priced. Be warned though, you may end up ordering a custom guitar! I've had most of my guitars set up, serviced and repaired there.

The website is http://www.felineguitars.com

My pal uses Guitar Village in Farnham to look after his 70s Tele and speaks very highly of them.

Thanks guys, I will try some servisol in the first instance. If no luck, I will take it to Guitar Village.

Another vote for Feline. They are easily a match for Chandlers for setups & repairs.
I love GV but they are no way near Feline (or Chandlers) based on the work they've done on my kit in the past.
