I went out to town with a mate last night, granted him control over my iPod and he chose my Top 25 Most Played. Now aside from there being some belters on there, some I haven't heard for quite some time, I think it was pretty good...

So what does yours look like? Does it embarrass you? Do you listen to your guilty pleasures a little bit too often? Any classics? Does it seem to stem from a certain time in your life? Does it explain why you were picked on at school..?

Here's mine:

Name: Waugh-terfall
Age: 21
Top 25:

  1. "Munich" by Editors
  2. "I Still Remember" by Bloc Party
  3. "An End Has A Start" by Editors
  4. "The Racing Rats" by Editors
  5. "Dig" by Incubus
  6. "Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking" by Snow Patrol
  7. "Platform Moon" by Jupiter One
  8. "Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors" by Editors
  9. "Flux" by Bloc Party
  10. "Rebellion (Lies)" by Arcade Fire
  11. "All Sparks" by Editors
  12. "Blood" by Editors
  13. "Into Oblivion (Reunion)" by Funeral For A Friend
  14. "Misfits" by Third Eye Blind
  15. "Harder To Breathe" by Maroon 5
  16. "Red Light-Green Light" by Limp Bizkit feat. Snoop Dogg
  17. "Meet Your Master" by Nine Inch Nails
  18. "This Is How It Goes" by Billy Talent
  19. "Die Tonight, Live Forever" by Innerpartysystem
  20. "Bullets" by Editors
  21. "Anna Molly" by Incubus
  22. "I Don't Wanna Be" by Gavin DeGraw
  23. "On The Road" by Rooster
  24. "The Unshockable" by Maximo Park
  25. "I'm Not Sorry" by The Pigeon Detectives
I'm not sure where I'm getting this, but I think I might be a bit of an Editors fan..?
They all seem to be from around the same sort of time, moving towards the late 00s, around the time I was at 6th Form.
Everthing is a fairly similar genre, with an exception or two, Innerpartysystem, Funeral For A Friend, Limp Bizkit/Snoop, Nine Inch Nails.
Jupiter One's "Platform Moon" is far king amazing.
I need to listen to more Incubus.
I know why a couple are on there.
I think my musical tastes are decent, but then I would.

Over to you.

The problem with my 25 most played is that it resets whenever i change my computer! So i've had my latest iMac for about 11 months, and all it reflects is what i've listened to most this year really!
Is there any way round it?

I'd make an assumption as to age, but I wouldn't want to insult if I got it wrong. hehe

Do you suffer rrrrrroad raaage? I think that says that you are loosing your mind, and you're racing through the best days.

ETA: Oh wait, they're with a 'C'... As you were.

Another Last.FMer here. Apparently it counts all my scrobbles from ipod, itunes, winamp, on various machines - so this should be a reasonable punt at my Top 25.

I think you can tell I'm Scottish. And a bit of a soppy bd, it would appear? hehe

MMmmm, Learn To Fly (great perf at Reading this year) and Like a Hurricane (great perf at Reading 2002 IIRC) are both on my top 25. I'm 58 and not Irish but who would know smile

Dance me to the End of Love - Leonard Cohen
Waiting for the Miracle - Leonard Cohen
Closing Time - Leonard Cohen
In my Secret Life - Leonard Cohen
Like a Hurricane - Neil Young
Heart of Gold - Neil Young
Love and only Love -Neil Young
Down by the River - Neil Young
Peggy Gordon - Sinead O'connor
Lowlands of Holland - Chieftains with Natalie Merchant
Fields of Athenry - Dropkick Murphys
Useta Love her - Saw Doctors
Bright Side of the Road - Van Morrison
Into the Mystic - Van Morrison
One - U2
Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
Lucky - Radio Head
Fisherman's Blues - Waterboys
Matty Groves - Fairport Convention
Diamonds on the soles of her Shoes - Paul Simon
Heroes - David Bowie
Moonage Daydream - David Bowie
Perfect Day - Lou Reed
All the Young Dudes - Mott the Hoople
Thousands are Sailing - The Pogues

Think this means I'm 58 with a penchant for celtic / folk / seventies music and little bits of post-90s.

I've been on last.fm for years now, and as a result my top 25 wasn't really indicative of what I listen to now. (For crying out loud, Dragonforce? I'm genuinely ashamed of that now!) My overall looks like a Guitar Hero setlist, which makes sense as I was totally into the games (and had a lot more listening time) back then.
http://www.last.fm/user/UrikoBB3

The last 3 months would be the most accurate sample for me:
1. Anarchy Club - Blood on the Snow
2. FantomenK - The Massacre (Extended Version)
3. Anarchy Club - All the Fires Burning
4. FantomenK - Audio Avenue
5. Rise Against - Satellite
6. Trivium - Watch the World Burn
7. Feeder - Headstrong
8. Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American
9. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop (Live from Sunderland Stadium of Light)
10. Anarchy Club - Bitter
11. Avenged Sevenfold - Scream
12. Trivium - Caustic Are the Ties That Bind
13. Machine Head - Be Still and Know
14. Daisuke Ishiwatari - Meet Again (Justice's Theme from Guilty Gear)
15. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give It Away
16. Garbage - Not My Idea
17. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Road Trippin' (Surely a PH worthy song?)
18. Dream Theater - Blind Faith
19. Jimmy Eat World - Get It Faster
20. Feeder - We Can't Rewind
21. Judas Priest - Night Crawler
22. Judas Priest - Battle Hymn (To be honest, this is only hear because it's basically an intro track so I don't bother skipping it)
23. Nightwish - The Kinslayer
24. Nightwish - Lagoon
25. Cubanate - Skeletal (Anyone who played Gran Turismo probably knows this)

Oddly there's only one Dream Theater song and no Iron Maiden, which is weird considering they're my favourite bands laugh

Nothing wrong with a bit of Dragonforce. The key to its awesomeness is its unashamedness, afterall.

Right then, I want to make it absolutely clear from the start, that I mainly listen to my ITunes to relax after work or to fall to sleep too. I have My Chemical Romance, The Chemical Brothers, Deepdish, Foo Fighters, MGMT, The New Pornographers, Propellerheads, Ryan Adams, Sneaker Pimps, Stevie Wonder and Warren Zevron on my Ipod as well.
I also have no way of playing it through my car stereo having thrown both the cassette adopter and a FM thingy in the bin in disgust.

So bear that in mind, ok?

1.) Oh Patti - Scritti Polliti
2.) Soft - Lemon Jelly
3.) Grovely Road - Saint Etienne
4.) If You Run - EG
5.) Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want - The Dream Academy
6.) Who Am I - Will Young
7.) Gaye - Clifford T Ward
8.) This Guys In Love With You - Herb Alpert
9.) Rio - Michael Nesmith
10.) Catherine Wheels - Crowded House
11.) Sing For You - Tracy Chapman
12.) Cross My Heart - EBTG
13.) Mirrorball - EBTG
