I used to to have one, when I was in a band in my youth.

Any suggestions for a cheap ebay decent keyboard?

I guess midi/usb velocity sensing that will work with an ipad/mac etc

Depends what you want it to do..

If you want to use it in conjunction with an ipad/mac, you can just get yourself a USB controller keyboard - some do connect direct to ipad now too.

If you go down this route, you can then get any type of sound as software. Apple do decent starter software, and then you can decide which route to take if you want to spend more.

if you're in or near a large(ish) UK city, I can make suggestions on a store to have a look at. If you're buying a USB controller to start with, you may as well get one new as ebay won't be much cheaper, if at all.
