Echo and the Bunnymen

Something possessed me to buy an Echo and the Bunnymen compilation (might have been the £0.01 price...), but listening to it now I believe I underestimated them in period.

I didn't dislike them, but equally I never bought an album.

One thing that hasn't changed is that Killing Moon still sounds like the theme to a missing Bond film...

Anyone else care to comment?

I remember quite liking them but thinking about it now all I can remember them singing is 'bring on the dancing horses' and of course 'the killing moon' which was excellent.

Ocean Rain is a pretty good album, still enjoy it after all these years.

Do It Clean still sounds great.

Saw them live at Glastonbury in 2009. It was the Sunday night, and most people had gone to see the Prodigy or Neil Young iirc. There were about 200 of us watching and they were incredible. Totally underestimated by me too back in the day.

I find their greatest hits album very compelling and as such i spin it often........... loving 'Stormy Weather' at the moment
