How much would you pay to see the following artists?......
Discussion
Just a bit of fun really...
Hypothetically, if one of these were playing reasonably near your house, say 10 miles, what is the MAXIMUM you would pay for a ticket, (if anything)..or would they have to pay YOU to go?....Obviously there is a recession on and money is tight for most people.
The Rolling Stones
Keane
Paul M'cCartney
Elton John
Coldplay
Wishbone Ash...(Andy Powell)
Wishbone Ash...(Martin Turner)
Robbie Williams
Take That
Led Zeppelin..(with Jason Bonham)
Queen...(With Paul Rodgers)
Roger Waters
Rush
Adele
Shirley Bassey
Muse

I'd pay £1000 for Led Zep. I'm still smarting from not getting tickets to the 2007 show.
You'd have to pay me to go to some of the rest.
I saw them at Earls Court...(1975).....£5You'd have to pay me to go to some of the rest.
Knebworth 1979....(twice)....£7.50

The Rolling Stones - £50
Keane - £20, maybe...
Paul M'cCartney - Nothing
Elton John - Nothing
Coldplay - £20
Wishbone Ash...(Andy Powell) - Who?
Wishbone Ash...(Martin Turner) - Ditto!
Robbie Williams - £30 if the wife wanted to go.
Take That - I'd pay £100 NOT to go.
Led Zeppelin..(with Jason Bonham) - See Take That.
Queen...(With Paul Rodgers) - Double the two above...
Roger Waters - Errr - I'm sure I should know who he is, but I guess nothing, as I don't.
Rush - Are they still alive? Nothing.
Adele - £20 - Maybe...
Shirley Bassey - Nothing
Muse - Nothing

Nope. Not interested. I MIGHT be persuaded to pay for Zep had Bonzo still been alive. I too spent the £7.50 in '79.
I'd pay good money to see:
The Undertones
Buzzcocks
Wilko Johnson
U2, if they promised not to play anything after the first two albums.
New York Dolls
Otherwise, all the decent live bands are dead...

Dear All,
of the original list I'll splash £15 on zep (so there's a fiver left for fish&chips on the way home). I know how to treat a lass
But I'd spend £50 to see a Peter-Gabriel-fronted Genesis. In the light of Phil Collins' health I'd take another drummer but Phil's voice still works,
regards,
Jet

That's a pretty good call! I'd leave Phil Collins out, but Gabriel, Banks, Rutherford and Hackett..... £50In similar vein, you could add in:
Jethro Tull......... £100
Yes (Wakefield, Anderson, Howe, Squire, White) .... £75
