Triplet-based rhythm (Shuffle)
Underlying bass line like "Green Onions", e.g. C-C-Eb-F

Chorus goes like:
"Over" (???)
x x x x
"Over"

Then shift of the whole bassline/tune one note upwards (then D-D-F-G)
"Over" ???)

Then back to C-C-Eb-F


Could be rare Spencer Davis group song or similar

Must be rather well-known, I was at a party and the band played lots of famous rock/blues/jazz classics.

He said 'uptempo', about 135bpm. Guess what the RHCP cover is? 141bpm.
