Music Festivals for 2013
Discussion
As an Avid Festival go'er of the last 15 or so years i thought i would start a thread to see who is going where next year, UK or overseas, and any recommendations anyone has.
Currently only booked in for The Beacons Festival in Skipton in Aug'13, its cheap and Local so can't really say no.
Looking to do a European Festival this year and looking for any experiences people have. I have done Sziget, Luxemberg, lowlands and Benicassim in the past and would happily do any of them again, but always looking for new ones to try out.
Contemplatimg Positivus in Latvia or Rock Wercher in Belgium has been floated as a possible, anyone been to either or suggest any other good ones?

Did Bennicassim (sp) a few years back and it was good although i'd suggest fly driving down as the trains are normally rammed. Its a really strange festival in that the whole town gets taken over by brits but it was nice being able to go to the med in the day and party all night but if you can get a hotel it will be worth it. I wouldnt mind doing Outlook next year also but have no experiences of it.

30degrees and blue skies every day
Big draw of the foreign Festival, I was in Luxemberg at Rock a field last year basking in the sunshine while the IOW festival was on....Smug
Soundwave clashes with something else, so we can't do it this year but its a definite possibility for the future.

I got Glasto tickets
Nice one, got to be thinking Stones as the main headliner which will be fairly epic. Taking a swerve on Glasto'13, went in a pimped out Motor home in 2011 and would be hard to top so we are going to give it a miss this year, Maybe get a Yurt in 2014.
We have settled on Positivas, 2012 line up was pretty decent for 50 Euros
KEANE (UK), DAMIEN RICE (IE), MANIC STREET PREACHERS (UK), FRIENDLY FIRES (UK), THE VACCINES (UK), KING CHARLES (UK), NIKI & THE DOVE (SE), WILD BEASTS (UK), SBTRKT (UK)
I'm going to Leefest again this year. It's a great little festival near Bromley that recently won the Best Independent Festival (or similar) award.
No idea who is on yet. The Mystery Jets headlined this year, before that it was British Sea Power and The Young Knives.
I've been to a few festivals and this is the one I enjoy the most.

I have read about that one, Beacons is going to be the small independent for next year though. Take a look at Beacons, i would highly recommend it, apart from a Gross level of negligence on the Toilet planning this year (which i know is now resolved) i couldn't fault it.No idea who is on yet. currently have British Sea power on the Ipod in the Car, First Album is pretty solid.
The Hotrod Hayride and Rockabily Rave for me next year. Would love to do Viva Las Vegas again next year but doubt I'll be able to.
