I do an internet radio show on Tuesday evenings where I take unreleased live radio or soundboard recordings of classic gigs/artists, polish them up a bit and put them on the radio once again.

Short notice I know but tonight is The Thin White Duke himself, David Bowie in a full gig recording from LA in 1974 at 8pm UK time; 1 hour of Bowie classics will be playing beforehand. For Bowie fans, this gig is from the 2nd leg of the tour that year, and features a slightly different band lineup to that that appeared on the David Live album.

We're on at www.radio-happy.com; stream will be online at 7pm.

Here you go - link to the show is here.

If you're on a PC, you may need to right click on the link and "save as". If on a Mac, the command key does the same job I am told.

If you have a browser plugin that takes over mp3s altogether it may need disabling in order to download.

Hope you enjoy. I've done Bauhaus, vintage gigs from Depeche Mode, Ultravox, Gary Numan and OMD recently. Got others to work on for The Doors, Jean Michel Jarre, Bowie from 1976, Japan, Prince, 1960s gigs from The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Monkees... Some amazing stuff out there in internetland.

Something to do with the command key on a mac is the equivalent of clicking with the right mouse button on PCs. But what that is I dunno (not a Mac user yet)

Sorry to be pedantic, but the Thin White Duke wasn't born until 1976. He killed off Ziggy in 73, so 74 & 75 I think he was just himself.

Well, that's killed the thread.

I wasn't referring to the thin white duke as that persona being performed...merely as the colloquial name some people refer to him as...

I don't refer to him as such in the radio show, I don't think...merely in my posting on here. None of which should distract one iota from the fact it's a good recording of a vintage period in his career.
