Bob Geldof / Boomtown Rats Live 1978

I do an internet radio show on Tuesday evenings where I take unreleased live radio or soundboard recordings of classic gigs/artists, polish them up a bit and put them on the radio once again.

This Tuesday features Bob Geldof and The Boomtown Rats from 1978 - superb quality stereo broadcast. We're on at www.radio-happy.com; the radio stream will be be playing tracks from that era online at 7pm.

I've made a diary note to have a listen. Sir Bob became a bit of a nobcheese tbh in his later charity life (ironic really), but they did sound ace back in the day. Lookin forward to it.

So does it kick off at 7 or 8? Show on stream at 7, rats on at 8 i presume?

Will the ipad stream it ok?

Yep, stream starts around 7, playing new wave stuff (playlist below, although not necessarily in that order); Rats show kicks off just after 8pm, looking at the playlist in front of me.

Not used the ipad to stream from the website but the TuneIn app works - I tested it last night (I do a show on Mondays too). With TuneIn you search for Radio Happy, then scroll down the results...we seem to be listed as Radio Happy with English underneath the entry; we appear just under a station called America's Happy Gardener (their search facility is cack!). On the other hand, our website has a few player alternatives on the home page when the stream is active. The flash player won't but I believe clicking on 1 of the others can play it via iTunes (1 listener reported that one).

Really? I just got on ok. It usually takes about 20 secs or so to get in. what are you using to get in?
