Stolen from a shop in Woodstock, a lovely quilted brown 20th Anniversary custom 22. Just the guitar, no case, but in un-used condition. Mother of pearl inlayed Paul Read Smith signature on the head, and also the birds to the neck. Gold pickups and black and gold locking tuners.
CCTV shows the thieves to be in their 50s, Him grey hair, green quilted jacket and flat cap. Her, black long coat and funny black spotted cap.
If anyone is offered just the guitar, or knows someone showing off such a thing, please make contact.
We have very good cctv images, and finger prints as they handled another guitar and also other items before making off. The police are involved.

Do you happen to know the serial number of the stolen guitar? If not, would you happen to have the name of the shop it was stolen from?

Thanks

I don't have the serial number but the shop was The Real Wood Furniture company, in Woodstock.
They had 6 guitars out belonging to the owner, all for sale. This was the one targeted.

DO you know anything about it?

Same couple had a couple of saxes in Southampton recently: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/news/witness-appea...

...and a PRS custom shop job in Colchester... https://www.facebook.com/peachguitars/videos/19839...

Looks like the same people in this from 2009: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4505644.Police_see...

Lee Anderton commented that they had a Gibson J200 off him about 15 years ago too.

Same technique, if not the same couple: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/8925200.brazen-thi...

Has to be 'wow!' to that. The 'Woodstock' bit caught my eye as it's my area. Then note date of posting! Scums stealing expensive music equipment for some years now, using similar if not same technique each time, both very highly recognisable but as yet not apprehended.

Perhaps if their pics appeared in a 'national' rather than 'local' rag they'd be caught same day?

In one pic the woman appears to be looking directly at the security camera. How did she not see it?

Surely they must realise that premises of this type would have cameras.
