Just heard that Kenny Ball has decided.
Was lucky to be on a cruise a few years ago when he was part of the entertainment. Always had time to stop and chat. Lovely man. R.I.P.

My Dad has always been a huge Jazz fan and would take me to loads of concerts when I was a young lad. We got to meet Kenny and his band on numerous occasions. A great musician and a thoroughly nice chap from my memory. RIP.

To be honest I thought he died ages ago, but this is sad news all the same. I've never been a huge jazz fan, in fact I only really remember him for Morecambe and Wise, but I enjoyed his performances. He was incredibly talented and was never boring, like some musical intervals in TV programmes are.
