When Madness was popular, during my youth, Suggs was the lead singer and Chas Smash was (as I recall) the dancer. Since their comeback, however, he seems to have become a second lead singer and frontman, albeit that his mic is lower than that of Suggs so he is inaudible.

So what's going on there? Jockeying for position regarding who is the "face" of the band?

Saw them 3 years ago in concert in Australia, smallish venue, one of he best live acts I've seen.
