I bought some of my very small vinyl collection on ebay and all were all in specific boxes (quick googling reveals they are Record mailer boxes, and are easy to get), although I did buy from business sellers. I wouldn't personally worry about selling vinyl online and sending that way with appropriate labling.

The marketplace on Discogs might be well worth a look, fantastic site I always use when tagging my digital collection, I've never used the marketplace but it seems to be popular and sometimes prefered to ebay.

Ho hum
E bay but watch out for your buyers- look and see the feedback they have LEFT for others as well as the usually fawning feedback received
Always use proper record mailers with card inserts double up on your card inserts on single albums ie non gatefold sleeves. Remove the album inner sleeve containing record and place in package ie remove from gatefold sleeve and send that way rather than sending inside sleeve
Use jpeg.com to store pictures of your records - its miles cheaper as its free than using e bays own gallery things
ALWAYS USE RECORDED DELIVERY (and familiarise yourself with NEW posting rates that will soon be applicable - I haven't yet but think it changes the prices significantly. Provided you don't skank people on postage then there is no issue I only used to charge what it cost me which was £2.20 plus 95p recorded charge plus £1 for mailer and stiffeners and 20p for tape/ labelling used etc.

I managed to sell lots of Rock LP's on there some took ages to go some went straight away bare in mind that there is a market for good quality album covers as well so if the covers are good but records fked then still sell them.
