Which is your favourite Savoy Opera?

Difficult choice for me. I suppose the Mikado would have to be my desert island one, but I also especially like the Gondoliers and Ruddigore. They've all got their moments, though. For instance, "Kind Captain, I've important information" and "Hark! What was that, sir?"

Pirates of Penzance for me - probably for no better reason than that I performed in it twice (school and university) in my younger days, and have nothing but fond memories of the experience.

My kids (and the choir they are in) are doing Rudigore this year at the international G & S Festival in Buxton.
I know nothing about Rudigore. Last year they did Pirates of Penzance

Its a big honour for them (invite only), and frankly it was pretty good last year. The 13 year old Soprano was superb.

It was not like watching a school concert, the acting was good as well, it was proper professional.
