Who/What have you just got after all these years?
Discussion
Big acts that have been around for years, but you always thought weren't worth listening to, or you thought you didn't like. Ten years ago for me it was David Bowie, who apart from "Scary Monsters"and the song "Heroes" I hadn't really got into. Then I heard "A Reality Tour", and realised what I'd been missing. I've just gone through the same again, this time with Arcade Fire. Who's done it for you?
Fish era Marillion - never paid any attention to it at the time - god know why I chose to try it now! Amazon remasters piqued my interest I guess.
Script for a Jesters Tear is my least favorite.
Misplaced Childhood is brilliant despite suffering those two overly exposed songs - Heart of Lothian just lifts me somehow - you walk taller, I dunno, purposeful...
But Clutching at Straws is just utterly superb (an eye opening documentation of alcohol addiction as well). Rothery rolls out all his best Hackett tones and plays a blinder, as does everyone. Just so impressed by it as a whole. It's now a regular on my Note
