He was crap when I saw him a few years ago - shortly after he totally crumbled and walked off stage at one gig. I was surprised that any promoter even took the risk of working with him - more of a liability than Michael Jackson!
Real shame as I was a big fan but he simply couldn't do the songs justice. Since then I've not even thought about taking the risk of going to see him again.

Meat Loaf has cancelled a concert in Nottingham an hour before it was due to start.
A statement on the Capital FM Arena's website said the show had to be postponed "due to medical reasons affecting several members of the band".

I am really too old to be a Meatloaf fan but my Muso colleagues persuaded me to see him live many years ago in the UK. I am glad they did he was quite magnificent. I have been aware of the steady decline in the standard of his live performance and the failures to meet touring dates in recent years. Sadly I think the lifestyle has caught up with him steadily. I personally cannot see any real prospect of recovery. I suspect we have seen the best of Meatloaf and I doubt there will be a happy ending. Which is a pity because he was magnificent in his prime. Not anymore it would seem.

ker...made me feel like I'd be a bit guilty about putting him through a stage show.
