I had a great evening watching this on iMac.

In the clip referenced before, what guitar is Jimmy Page playing? it isn't the famous Les Paul I think.

Watching "The Song Remains The Same", then listening to Zep's albums pretty much cast in stone what sort of music I wanted to play on the guitar. Zep are pivotal to my listening and guitar playing tastes.
So much material to choose from, and there's so much that I love it's very, very difficult to pick a favourite clip / tune. No Quarter? The Lemon Song? Over the Hills & Far Away? Ten Years Gone? Good Times Bad Times?
I must admit though, I've always enjoyed this very much.
Starts off with a classic, 'smokey' Mississippi blues shuffle then all hell breaks loose when Bonzo, JPJ, and Jimmy get fighty.
Also, this is another big favourite; if nothing but as a vehicle to demonstrate JPJ's talent, Jimmy's ear for a good tune when playing an open G tuning, and that Zep did a lot more than rock tunes.
Ramble on? I think I've just done that.

I saw them in 1972 at the Sydney Showground and they were terrible, Jimmy wasn't on the same planet as the rest of the band much less in time so sadly my live memories are not as fond as the vynil ones.

I cannot recommend this double DVD pack enough. Nearly five hours of totally amazing footage. Play it through your home cinema system and enjoy.

Apologies - what with all the Yewtree stuff going on (Rolf Harris in paticular today), I thought this was going to be a thread about something else.
I certainly remember an article in Loaded (top level journalism of course) in the 90s about Led Zep's groupie antics (a 13 year old named Lori was one of those mentioned). I suppose there's a big difference between voluntary and involuntary, but I'm frankly amazed that none of the recent revelations have had pointed fingers at the bands from the 60's, 70's or 80's.

A little question to the guys who saw Zepp live - how did they compare to Hendrix?
After seeing It Might Get Loud rockumentary I was a bit surprised no one mentioned Jimi . . . which puzzles me because every - EVERY - clip I've bumped into has at least one mention of the greatest guitarman who ever lived.
Both Page and White have R&B, blues and jazz influences in their playing.
