Anyone here producing/DJing?
Why not stick a link up to your soundcloud & mixcloud pages... and perhaps a quick description of the content therein?

Who knows, maybe some interesting collaborations might come out of it...

Haven't made anything in a while though, recovering from a disastrous system crash, and need a new keyboard!

Nice idea, I'm always up for listening to other peoples work, I'll check it out!

I don't produce, but DJ a fair bit and have recently started putting mixes online (I try to put up a new mix every couple of months). I play most kinds of house music (especially deep/funky/Hed Kandi stuff), trance (especially the older late 90's/early 2000's progressive stuff), hard house, and a bit of happy hardcore now and again!

I use a CDJ & mixer setup for most of my mixes, but also have a Technics/Vestax vinyl-only setup I still use quite regularly.

I've yet to find any appeal with 'digital Djing' so I think I might be one of the last DJs out there without the hidious glowing Apple logo in front of my turntables!

Ah, I have a windows laptop (Dell Latitude i5 with SSD running Traktor and a Denon MC6000 mixer/controller. Lovely bit of kit but by the time it's all flightcased up is bulkier and more hassle than 2x bags of 12"s which kinda defeats the whole purpose of going digital, but is lovely to use. Never really liked CDJs and since by the time you buy a pair, they cost nearly 2 bags o sand, I thought might as well go down the laptop/controller route as at least I can also use it for producing when on holiday or otherwise away from the studio.

Very true. Both my setups rarely leave the house so portability is never an issue for me, but I certainly wouldn't want to have to carry them far! I have used the MC6000 before but the whole software thing has never done anything for me. My CD decks are Denon SC2900s (actually traded in my Pioneer CDJ900s for them) and I also use a Denon Dn-X1600 mixer which is an amazing bit of kit. Ill give Denon their dues, they do know how to make equipment that feels fantastic to use.
