Help me find a song (apologies in advance...)
Discussion
Right then, I have been hunting the internet, trawling the record shops and had no joy in my search for a completely random, probably unheard of (in it's complete glory anyway), and most probably derided tune.
Basically it is a disco/funk version of 'L-O-V-E' by Nat King Cole (I know, I know, it sounds awful already). It was released in 1979 or '80 and was also used as the theme tune to 'The Really Wild Show' in the mid eighties. I had it on cassette as a kid and have fond memories of it.
I have never ever heard or seen of this song since then and was hoping somebody in this little corner of PH might actually be able to find me a link or a copy or just the name of the band who recorded it!
apologies in advance for my poor taste in music...

One of the closest references I can find is that a guy called David Lowe wrote some of the theme tunes, but only cast iron evidence of doing one of the more modern versions-

Another David also did something-

Right, it's taken two months but I have found it! Got into the loft at my folks house and pulled out the tape (took some searching) - 'Disco Chart '83'!
Anyway the track is 'Ellovee-ee' by Tony Sherman. Released in 1982 and used as the theme music to 'The Really Wild Show'.
