This really saddens me frown

Awesome band (The Doors) and a very talented man.

Now had to listen to "Riders"... What most people don't get that is while they listen to that lovely Fender Rhodes, he was playing the bass part with his feet.

Right now, on standard PH pages, the 'Scott Alexander' thread is on '99' pages.

This will barely get past three frown

Well, it's The End for Ray, he's Broken Through (To The Other Side); just hope he's not Lighting A Fire...

I think it might be a bass guitar. They were using a 'proper' bass player on the LA Woman album and I read somewhere that he had difficulty working out how to play the bass part because Manzarek had written it for keyboard bass.

Just read the news, very sad. Currently got the crystal ship playing. He was a genius of a musician without which The Doors wouldn't have been.

RIP Ray.

Jim Morrison was what made The Doors famous, the musicianship is what made The Doors.

RIP Ray Manzarek.
