Why is Spotify so ridden with awful tribute albums?

I don't get this, so I thought I'd ask the wider community.
I subscribe to the fullfat Spotify - when searching for stuff, I get an awful amount of tracks performed by tribute acts - sometimes this is displayed, sometime it's not. An example would be this:

For any of you who can listen to it is, listen to the first bit of the 'Return of the Mack' track. It's ridiculously bad, sounds like someone connected a lineout from the Kareoke machine down the pub.
My question is - why do these albums exist? Who on earth would decide to purchase tribute versions of these tracks? What is their purpose of existence? I can only conclude that they exist to get accidentally clicked on by someone searching for the original.
