learning guitar, any good tab sites?
Discussion
I now have fully 4 weeks experience. My fingers feel odd. Kind of a cross between painful and constantly numb on the fingertips.
All good though taking some lessons with a thoroughly decent chap. Can now play opening bit of californication a bit of chasing cars a bit of substitute and sunshine of your love. Also the intro to enter the sandman even though I don't know how it's supposed to go or like heavy metal at all.
Getting a bit bored of practicing the same stuff so anyone have any links to a decent website with some easy tab for guitar with good songs. I'm struggling to see the wood for the trees. It's an acoustic guitar the wife got me for bday. I like anything other than opera and heavy metal when it comes to music but bear in mind I have 4 weeks experience so chords are pretty much nowhere yet ( I have three) just need to mix it up a bit.
Also any advice welcome. Right now I feel like I have the fattest fingers known to mankind!
Cheers.

If I were you, I'd just keep practising the tunes that your tutor has given you. Once you've got these down it'll open up a whole new world of stuff for you to learn, but until you have some fundamentals it can be frustrating.
Take heart in knowing that you're not the first guy to get bored in the first few weeks - everyone I know that plays has said the same thing, and it was exactly the same for me. So much so, that I binned the lessons and tried to learn on my own. This is a decision I regret very much and I know I'd be a better player if I had continued with my tutor at school.
Keep at it, you'll get there
Edit - if you disregard the above, Ultimate Guitar is probably the best tab site...

Download Tux guitar, then search for some guitar tabs which it can play.
I found a file with over 5000 tabs and it's kept me amused for months.

(Other sites are available)
One of it's features is you can slow the tempo down to a level you can follow, so you can get the fingering right, then as you improve bring the tempo back up to it's normal pace. I started just over a year ago and can have a reasonable stab at 20 odd tracks.

Also check out Rockongoodpeople (Next level Guitar) on Youtube, good bunch of tutors with a light-hearted approach:
