Favourite live album?

Following on from the favourite studio album threads......

For me currently its Octane Twisted by Porcupine Tree

and I remember being totally blown away when I heard Alchemy (Live) by Dire Straits as a nipper.

Still listen to "Made in Japan" quite a lot but IMHO "Stop making sense" is the best live album ever. ( and the best film of a concert)
Notice how I didn't mention the artists name- if you don t know already you wouldn't appreciate them

A brilliant album caught at their zenith...IMO!

Arguably the best thing Linda McCartney ever did music wise - she and Paul invited him to perform at a private party, that thankfully somebody had the sense to record.



At their peak, a superb live act accurately captured here.



Ignoring the alleged post production treatment, still a seminal live album.



THE Guv'nor. Simply sublime. And it just creeps into the Rolling Stone Top 500 albums of all time too.

A couple spring to mind such as Deep Purple Live in Japan, and Zep's Song Remains the Same. Oh and Life / Live by Lizzy as well.

For me, though, this:



is on a pedestal.

Recorded in 1970, just before Clapton went a bit loopy, it is a magnificent set.
