Guitar leads/pedal interconnects

Evening,
Thanks for the input on the distortion pedal thread. I think I'm getting there with that. My next task is to sort out my leads.
I have many, a lot are old and crap, so I though the best thing would be to invest in some new ones. I have made my own in the past but not for a long time and whilst a I'm quite happy to wander into my local electronics shop and take their advice on cables and plugs I thought I'd ask you lot.
Clearly I'd rather just buy some ready made, so all suggestions for either good pre made that are not stupidly expensive, or what cable/ connectors would work well.

Very well made, and crucially you can cut the signal to the amp before unplugging.
