Show ( and please explain ) your pedal board

My reverb has arrived, I have and existing super overdrive and a rarely used Dunlop wah, a cheap delay and there are a couple of distortions in the post.

I thought I'd probably built a small board for them, sort out some power and maybe some switching.. This is where my knowledge runs out, so before I embark on this I thought I'd ask you lot.

Can you please post a picture of your board, explain what's on it, how it is wired, any switching and how you built it. Please, please

Many years ago (when I was gigging). I bought a flight case/pedal board that fitted 6 pedals and provided power for them all. They were daisy chained together with short 1/4 inch jacks. I'm sure they still must sell them somewhere.


ETA and seriously O/T - as a gag, I bought a cheap pedal, repainted it as a 'Black Hole' pedal, and took all the electrics out - and gave it to a guitarist mate... who plugged in his gtr to hear bugger all come out the other side

Here we go. Little messy but I've since cleaned it up...



The pedalboard is a cheap Stagg one. Essentially a flight case with velcro stuff on the inside to stick your pedals too. Works nicely for a cheap solution.

I'm using a 20ft Planet Waves classic with normal jacks from the amp into the end of the chain (L). Into the tuner and therefore the guitar is a 10ft Planet Waves Classic with an angled jack. All patch cables (connecting pedals together) are Planet Waves Classics (I like em). Can't really go wrong with these as they are good quality and dirt cheap.

I'm powering it with a One Spot power supply which can take all my pedals easily. Run it into the tuner, Then daisy chain into each pedal using the supplied gear. Easy.

Now the important part

Boss TU-3 - Standard fare. Cut your sound and tune whilst gigging. Can't live without it. Don't have one? I suggest you do! These go for 90 odd quid new.
Boss CS-3 - Compresses the switch from OD to clean so that my levels are even.
ProCo RAT 2 - Distortion. Nuff said
MXR Micro Amp - I use this to add a bit of gain and level for solos or similar lead sections. YOu don't need one, but it helps. You can use any OD or distortion for this by the way. Just set your tone how you like, bring your distortion all the way down and whack the level up.
Boss NS-2 - Cuts out extra noise/hum
Boss DD-6 - Delay for a bit of kick

All in all, a pretty simple set up. It's nothing ridiculously complicated, and if you were to buy the whole thing new, you'd be looking at about £500. I got the lot for about half that although it was accumulated over time.
