If you get a one day pass, how do they know when that has expired and you have to leave?

I.e you get a Saturday only ticket, when Sunday comes how do they find you and kick you out?!?

What's the best way to get there? Get dropped off at the M1 junction? I want to avoid long ques for the shuttle bus!

Cheers

not done Leeds but at other festivals but camping is normally separate from the main arena, and everyone is out the arena for the night.

IF security are bothered you won#t get into the campsite either with a day pass, but at the end of the night so many people are passing through you may manage that but it's unlikely.

There will be a camping section, those with weekend passes will be allowed in, those with single day passes wont. Easy.

As in, you wont be able to sleep there on a Saturday only ticket.

Don't forget your wellies, fisherman trousers, waterproof jackets and a snorkel......Looks like you're going to need 'em!

Not seen rain like it up here (Leeds) before.

So what did the lad who was there since Wednesday make of it? My missus came home on Saturday after only being there 10 hours! Couldn't face a night in the wet and mud!

Returned yesterday and had a great night but came home again!

Did anyone come off the A1m at J45 and follow the ridiculous (30 minute) route over half of Leeds, only to cross the motorway again at J44 where the entrance to the gig was?!? When I came back i came off at j44 a was 2 mins from the drop off!!! What were they thinking taking everyone on that detour?!?

I got cought up in the traffic just after the a1 turn off heading to leeds. all the way down the a64 were mud covered kids in the hedges and on the road side laying back with feet in the carrigeway !! 1 black and white taxi tried getting round the traffic by using a verge and rolled into a feild down an embankment... the bloody idiot. My main problem though is why have this on a bank holiday weekend when this road is busy anyway. Its mainly kids and students andin the middle of a long holiday period. seemed very very stupid to me.

Damnit, you're right! Music festivals aimed at young people should be held only on tues/wed/thurs... Or maybe you're a nimby?

no one said it shouldnt be on a weekend.... just not a bank holiday weekend that makes it impossible to use a main direct route to the east coast without miles of detours or delays for most of us here in leeds on a BANK HOLIDAY weeked. any other weekend would be fine. and no i am not a nimby and it wasnt in my back yard either. dont mind kids and festivals just like a touch of good planning, suitable infrastructure and a bit of thought. Also anyone here seen how the town centre was left by these mud covered folk. Who picks up the tab ? i'll tell you mugs like me and other folk in leeds who pay council tax. at least next year leeds city council are charging for the clean up. Leeds Centre was a disgrace, nothing but mud and thousands of disgarded well boots thrown in the streets.

the rain on saturday am about 4am was biblical, I've never heard anything like that before. spared a thought for the campers as I lay in my comfy warm bed.

Leeds railway station looked like the somme yesterday apparently, I saw loads of cars caked in reddish mud too...

Not true

The last few years we have bought day tickets for the day with our favourite artists then just camped and hung with mates the rest of the weekend

Unusual then, Ive never been to Leeds/Reading but the ones I have been to have been very strict in separating weekend and day tickets.
