Gibson LP Studio GEM Series

Seem to remember there were three of these - Ruby (red), Sapphire (blue) and Emerald (green).
In 1999 I went into the Bristol branch of that huge national music store that went bust a few years back (forget the name now!) to try a Peavey Classic 50, and was given a green one to plug into it. I absolutely loved it!
(Wished I'd bought that instead of the amp to be honest.)

You mean like this?

They are seriously awesome guitars, I love this one. I don't know for sure, but I don't think they came with hard cases. Dad bought this one brand new in 96 and it didn't come with one.
The neck is chunky, but I find it very comfortable. The pickups are hot, it is much louder than my Strat (with a bridge humbucker) or Telecaster.
I am yet to see another in the flesh so will look forward to photos
