What Keyboard?

My Daughter wants a keyboard/synth for Christmas. What's a good beginners keyboard?

She currently has an old battery operated Casio thing, but really needs something better.

Depends on so many different things.
My 10 yr old recently set her heart on a keyboard for learning the odd tune, and general messing about on.
She ended up with my trusty Yamaha DJX which was part of my home-recording setup years ago.
Quite old now but can be bought for next to nothing on Ebay.
Built in speakers, effects, drums, usable synth sounds, full MIDI and even basic sampling.

So the answer is Yamaha then

I'm happy with that as I have all Yamaha HiFi.
