So, just found this whilst packing up some of my CDs - I'd kind of forgotten I own it.
Blew off the dust, and listened to it in the car on the way to and from work. It's really bloody good. Listening to it - it's a bit of a nostalgia trip, but it also appears to have stood the test of time well, and is quite fresh and not really dated at all.

I also really like No Sleep Till Boston which IIRC is off that album.

I knew it was some American city beginning with 'B'. I was actually listening to one of their newer albums yesterday because of this thread, Hot Sauce Committee Pt 2. Not too bad. Too Many Rappers is good and Make Some Noise. Not their best though.

Brings back memories of my USAF mate and his old Blazer. Great big thing with a stupid sized petrol engine and his sub set up in the boot, listening to Beastie Boys whilst eating Carl's Jr. on our way into the Nevada desert to shoot some guns. Packed away unfortunately (ready for house move) and didn't put it on iTunes so will have to wait a bit before I can listen again.

Its sounds dated.
But not in a bad way.
The 808 drum machine is seminal (along with the 909 and 303) and awesome piece of kit. In hip hop terms it's all about the kick drum, snare and cowbell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUx7ax62OBo
My faves are Posse In Effect and Paul Revere - looping the beat backwards was genius.
Nice way to end it with MCA.
Blatantly filmed it during jetlag! Originally filmed in Shinjuku train station and its the busiest in the world!
The boiler suits, helmets and reflective gear you can easily buy from Japanese hardware store but I never got round to doing a fan tribute.
But not in a bad way.

Edit - remember the VW badges? Almost every GTi had its badge nicked!
My dad went from Audi Quattro to VW Scirocco for him and Passat for mum. Both had their badges knicked! I was only 6/7 and hard not to forget the Beasties during the 80s.Edited by Terminator X on Thursday 24th October 23:05
