Line 6 Spider 15 vs Fender Mustang 1 vs Peavey Vypyr 15

I'm thinking about a new amp - only for the bedroom so practice-type will do. Would anyone reccomend any one of these in particular, or even none of them and just to get a 10 watt marshall and a multi fx pedal instead?

As I've been a good boy this year I was going to ask santa but I'm not too sure which to ask for!!

It occurs to me that even 10 watts is going to be a good deal more than you can use in a domestic setting, so maybe a decent effects set up with a line out into a hi-fi amp that you might already have, or headphones?

The best little amp I come across was a Fender g-dec(hadn't even heard of it, I was used to Line6, s.), unbelievable quality sound for it's size, really great little amp.

I've got a Mustang 1 & a Peavey Blazer 158 for the house and an old 100W H||H for the real thing.

I'm rather partial to the little Fender for it's clean and rock tones.

I think that the peavey Vypyr 15 has been replaced, so it might now be between the Fender & Line 6.

I only want to spend about £100 as I fell that is all my talent, and budget can justify. I was liking the look of the Vypyr for the Rock/Metal tones.

Try the marshall mg series. The bigger gigging amps are quite mediocre but the 10 and 15 watt version are good practice amps. The mg15fx had built in effects that are better quality than the equivalent line 6.

Also try a Roland micro cube which are very well thought of.

Well, talk about a change, I've taken a punt on a Vox Pathfinder 10. Should be loud enough for the bedroom, and I'll just have to get to grips with the Pocket Pod.....
