Anyone had a go with an Alex Lifeson LP?

I've been contemplating buying a real les paul for ages and whilst it will be a while before I can justify the cost I want to work out what to aim for.

I have read a lot of good reviews of the R9, which really appeals but I think I could probably get more out of a slightly more modern approach. The Lifeson version looks good but wondered if any of you lot had any real world experience before I try and track one down for a go.

Me too! I've heard 'Victor' and it's pretty good, but it was on CD....
