Not really a concert as such but I went to the Jay Dee/J Dilla tribute night that happens yearly in London. His brother Illa J showed up and did a nice set of some of his and his late brother's music. I've been to most of these over the years and it's always a good night. Easy to enjoy even if you're not a die hard hip hop fan. Lots of rock, soul, jazz etc mixed in with the expected late Dilla catalogue.
4th April - EPMD, Nice & Smooth and Kwame at the Forum in Kentish Town. I'm looking forward to this night as it'll be the first time my older cousin and I are out on the tiles. He got me into rap and he was a massive EPMD and Nice & Smooth fan.
Other than that nothing planned.

Will see if the old man is up for any of these. Average White Band @ Ronnie Scotts July 30th
If you go to the website, you can put your name down on a waiting list for cancellations.
I believe you can still get AWB tickets as they are on all week.

I too am a big Interpol fan but do not like them live. Seen them a couple of times and I think they lack energy.
Brand New are excellent as are Blood Red Shoes
Already done Killswitch Engage on 2nd February at O2 Brixton Academy. It was an immense gig & the first time I dared to get up & personal with a mosh pit!
I'm 37 years old & I always shied away because I've his fainting fits at gigs before & I was worried I'd hate this one but it was so good! It really made the gig for me in a bizarre way.
Now looking out for some good gigs later this year

Taking the lad to see A Day to Remember in Cardiff on Saturday. Can't say I'm much of a fan but he seems to like them a lot so I'm trying to listen to as much of their stuff as I can at the moment - some better than others!
Also taking him to see Of Mice and Men in Brum later in the year. Oh and Fallout Boy too.
I'm such a cool dad. Ahem.
