Wedding music

I'm looking for some musical inspiration.. I'm after some music to play in the background for when the Bride and Groom walks back down the aisle after the service.

I'm looking for something suitably triumphant without being cheesy, something suitable for a hotel wedding rather than a full formal church do, nothing too left-field but something that's interesting and 'nice'!

Any suggestions?

We started with the "Also sprach Zarahustra", that got the guests to quiet down, and then followed it with Alice Coopers "Hello Hooray" for the walk up the aisle. For the first dance we had Aimie Mann´s "Satellite".

How would they define 'church music'? The usual suspects - Here Comes The Bride, Wedding March, etc., are just classical pieces.

I suggested "The Hen's March to the Midden" for the bridal entrance at our wedding but that was swiftly vetoed.

Cheers guys. Like the Alice Cooper and Madness suggestions but those were swiftly brushed aside by the boss.

Latest suggestion is the Beatles 'All you need is Love', which is a little 'love actually' but certainly fits the bill.

Interested in any other thoughts?

I was at a wedding a few years ago, we were in a very nice town hall which had a piano. As the proceedings closed a friend walked to the piano at the back (completely unprompted) and very gently played it must be love.

There were very few dry eyes in the room

My cousing and his wife had 'Waiting For a Star to Fall' by Boy Meets Girl as they went back down the aisle. It was a church wedding but it worked really well.

Great song.

Just a little question about our choice.. Does she actually know the song? It´s not your typical Alice Cooper song, I think it was originally from a musical. The words did fit our occasion pretty well (we did shorten it thou´)
