Have tickets for this year and am considering renting a yurt/tent in one of the areas just outside the perimeter - don't care that they are bit of a rip off I want some creature comforts and not mass communal showers. Looking at £800 for a tent for two of us, which includes a bar/electric and recharge points and a parking space, plus 24hr security and private bar areas.

So has anyone done this in previous years and could recommend a particular company?

Have you seen how much these things cost? £4k for the week was quoted last time.

Feck that. Either an air-conditioned Winnebago, or hotel off-site with limo service.

I like your thinking!

Last time I was at Glastonbury, which was a while ago, I stayed in the performers field. Thinking back it was still grotty with one shared showerblock/toilets and a marquee/bar although at least we had space ... the things you put up with when you're young.

have you seen what I wrote? smile I am not considering paying that, I am considering £800 for essentially a large tent with carpet and some facilities. And peace and quiet and no one stealing/pissing on my stuff
