Hi all,

I am looking to buy an ovation doubleneck guitar. However, before I shell out a quite substantial sum of money on one, I want to make sure that I can comfortably play something that tall. I've been rigging round music shops both local and far away looking for a doubleneck of any sort that I can at least try for an approxmiate size, but responses have ranged from "no, sorry we don't have one" to "a doubleneck? kept in stock? are you mad?".

Does anyone within a reasonable distance of South Cheshire have a double neck guitar that they wouldn't mind me having a a short go on?

thanks in anticipation,

Matt

A little bump here.. anyone?

I got the chance to have a go on a single neck Celebrity and loved how it sounded, but I still need to try a twin neck of any description to get a feel for size.

Can anyone please help? I'm willing to travel and compensate for your time with beer!

Have you asked Ovation if they have ever shipped one in the UK?

They do exist in the UK, I've seen a few on ebay and music shops will import them as a special request.

No one stocks the doublenecks, even the US dealers - they are all special order only.
I had a hard enough time finding a single neck at a big US dealer.

I do know that lots of other makes of doublenecks, especially Gibson/Epiphone, are knocking around and popular in the UK, hence my hope that someone might have one
