I was listening to the David Bowie song 'kooks' in my car today, in which he rhymes the word "dry" with the word "dry". I thought we should have a PH awards thread for the worst rhymes in popular music.

I think we should start by presenting a lifetime achievement award to the words 'wine' and 'fine' for their services to lazy soft rock songwriters.

Any more nominations?

Well we got no class
And we got no principals
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes.

There are some howlers but I've been drinking so I'll have to get back to you.

In that sign language
When I'm eatin' a sandwich
in a corner cafe

This one makes me cringe:

I feel so lucky
Hey, hey, hey
You wanna hug me
Hey, hey, hey
What rhymes with hug me?
Hey, hey, hey

The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do what's right
Sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti

Without googling it, wasn't she also afraid of the dark, especially when she was in the park?

Anything Niki Minaj or Pitbull do. There's that one song I was subjected to many, many times, where he rhymes Kodak with... Kodak.
