Beautiful soft love songs by nasty heavy bands

One of my favourite songs of all time:

Judas Priest, 'Last Rose of Summer'

Not that nasty but when old ladies came into the Woolworth's I worked and asked for the album by "those nice young men who sing that lovely song" (Extreme, More Than Words) I used to chuckle imagining when they'd hear the rest of the album when they got home!

I've not heard that one before, beautiful song. I've always liked their song Before The Dawn, I think it's a good fit here too.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqDU-j9Q4nM

Within Temptation might be stretching the Nasty Heavy Band bit but they do one hell of a love ballad. My favourite is this live version of Forgiven:

Alice Cooper - Stolen Prayer

EDIT: Oh, and Billy Squier, also stretching the Nasty part somewhat, with In Your Eyes

Finally, Led Zeppelin, not sure if the Rain Song is a love song but it's a ballad at least.

Not sure if they are love songs but they have a ballad like feel to them:
Metallica - Unforgiven /Nothing Else Matters
Like both of those a lot.Metallica - Unforgiven /Nothing Else Matters
Rainbow Eyes and Catch The Rainbow are lovely Dio ballads, during Ronnie's Rainbow years.
Always Somewhere by Scorpions is a great love song, not completely a ballad.
Some Kind Of Stranger by The Sisters Of Mercy is lyrically and musically very powerful, albeit about a one-off encounter rather than "romantic".
Annihilation, a Canadian metal band have done what I consider to be two soft love songs called Holding On, and The One from the 'All for You' album. The One still remains one of my favourite songs.
On their 'Refresh the Demon' album, there is song called Innocent Eyes which is I think about his child coming into his life.
Another one that comes to mind is Phoenix Rising from the album Set The World on Fire, that's another good one.
When you hear some of the other songs they do, these songs seem to be a polar opposite!
There is a band called CKY (my username influence) who did a ballad called Close Yet Far, but not really a love song per se.
Holding On:

I'm not sure if Thin Lizzy could ever be classed as "nasty", but they certainly had their heavy moments. This piece is exquisite (if a bit cheesy on the lyrical front):
Still In Love With You (Live)
John Sykes' solo is in my top 5 favourites; utterly dazzling for feel, note selection, and phrasing IMO.
