Mine arrived this afternoon, but it will be tomorrow before I get to try it out and find out if it's as good as it sounds in the YouTube videos (of which there are plenty).

Reason being is that the software, although included, has to be downloaded from their site and amounts to over 10GB!

Well, I've had downloads running all night, and that will continue for the time being because even though it's been downloaded (from the Fishman site) most of it has to be updated at the various original suppliers' sites.

I've fitted the controller and pickup to my favourite guitar (no drilling required) and I can't really say it's unobtrusive



Had a play with it this morning and after lowering the buffer size on my (pretty quick) computer and adjusting the string sensitivities the results are excellent. Delay virtually non-existent even on the lower notes. Looking forward to getting the rest of the sounds sorted and the DAW running.

The sounds are amazingly realistic. This is easily the best £400 I've ever spent on music stuff. I could lose myself in some of these patches. The only thing that makes me stop experimenting with each sound is wanting to try the next one. This is going to keep me busy, and happy, for a very long time.

I love the flute sounds, and the drums are great, surprisingly easy to play, too.

So, I noticed there were no bells in the supplied patches (might be some in there somewhere, though) so I knew I had some in Cubase, so opened it up and used the guitar as a midi input. Works perfectly for that too, and a bunch of good sounds in the Halionsonic soft synth that comes with Cubase.

It's nice when you buy something and it turns out to be as good as you wanted it to be.

Particularly enjoying the alto sax sound in HALion Sonic in Cubase. One problem which I now have and didn't really have before is the need to carefully control how hard I pick the strings, because even small differences are faithfully reproduced in the volume of the individual notes. Great for expression but demanding too.

Still extremely pleased with this unit.
