I was rummaging around on the laptop the other day, in a folder I hadn't ventured into for ages, when I came across this video I'd never posted, for the simple reason that I thought I'd lost it!

So I immediately remedied that.

Before you pick holes in it, please note that:

1 - It's not possible to save replays in CMR2, so I had to point the camcorder at the computer screen.
2 - I didn't have a sequencer at the time so all the keyboard parts had to be played manually.
3 - I was driving, hence the offroad excursions.

One day I'll post the whole piece.

I'm certainly not going to pick any holes in it, mainly because it's a style of music that I have little acquaintance with and therefore don't know enough about to be able to make an useful remarks. I did think that the bit where it changes at 1.33 perhaps ought to have been resolved back into the main theme at the end?

You've obviously a good musician, it would be good to hear more of your stuff. I quite liked the "Days in Black Leather". It's derivation was obvious but it was good nonetheless, plus I liked the views of Bristol (I'm an Old Bristolian) and note that there have been several Hillman Imps in your life, as well as quite a few guitars.

Thanks for the kind words singlecoil!

Actually in the original piece, the bit you heard started about three and a half minutes in. When I've trawled the net and found some nice photos of rainforests, I'll post the whole thing.

And apologies for the shameless self-promotion, but you'll find some more views of the West Country here:

(And nobody ever gets the visual pun in this one!)

Just a little bump to say that the full-length version of the piece has now gone up:

Well, I gave that a listen and a view. The change in the music (now at 4.42), which I commented on before, makes more sense now.

The video needs a bit of work, I think, if you don't mind me saying so. If your software allows you to pan across the stills it would make the whole thing a bit more involving and you wouldn't need so many different pictures. The cross fades are fine but there's a peeling transition near the middle that is a bit jarring.

All the above IMHO smile

Thanks for that singlecoil. Yes I'm still trying to get to grips with Windows MovieMaker. I suppose I can edit the movie but I think the only way to replace one on YouTube is to erase it completely and upload it again.

I will do it one day, I promise!
